Join Us in Creating A Lasting Legacy for Western Nevada County.

Our ambition is to grow philanthropy in western Nevada County through personalized donor services, expert guidance, and a wide range of giving options that meet the needs expressed by our community. COFONC is your philanthropic partner, helping you design a plan to enrich Nevada County for generations to come.

In January 2025, we will rollout a full suite of donor services and funds, including:

  • Donor Advised Funds: A simple, flexible way to give to the causes you care about.

  • Community Funds: Opportunities to co-invest with us to support local nonprofits.

  • Engagement and Learning: Conversations with experts, nonprofit leaders, and key constituents to learn about the issues.

  • Flexibility and Impact: Pathways to maximize the tax benefits of your donation and ensure it has the greatest impact.

  • Philanthropic Guidance: Advising you on Nevada County's communities and nonprofits to help you channel your giving to make a difference.

We are raising $750,000 for our Catalyst Fund to support the first three years of operations. This will allow us to hire staff and the create the infrastructure for staffing and programming. We are currently soliciting gifts for this fund from people who have the same ambitions as we do: to build a lasting, permanent philanthropic presence in the community we love.
